She's just being Noah? Miley Cyrus' younger sister, Noah Cyrus, followed in her famous footsteps and decided to get a drastic new haircut on Thursday, Nov. 7. The 13-year-old actress posted a video and photos on Instagram getting the side of her head shaved.

In the footage posted Thursday, Noah is seen sitting in a salon chair with her hands clasped over her mouth while a stylist cuts a large piece of her hair off from the right side of her head. With a look of shock on her face, Noah then watches as the hairdresser takes an electric razor and buzzes off the remaining hair.

Miley's sister then shared the finished look -- similar to the half-shaved looks sported by the likes of singer Cassie and Rihanna, and, more recently, Jada Pinkett Smith -- in a series of photos on Instagram. She appeared to be in good spirits after posting the first image, captioning the shot, "Hehe." But when commenters started criticizing her dramatic new haircut, Noah posted a long message defending her look.

"Everyone please stop hating on me," she wrote. "I'm my own person I can do whatever I want. Please stop being so mean. Do you think I enjoy reading comments tell[ing] me I'm ugly and I'm trying to be someone I'm not when I'm only being myself. "I can't believe the words people are saying to me right now. Please I beg of you just stop."

Miley, 20, famously cut off her long brunette hair into a short, pink pixie and bleached it blonde back in August 2012. The "Wrecking Ball" singer explained in her MTV documentary in October that changed her hair style to "let go of the past" and "be the bad bitch I am."

The former Disney actress claimed she would never have long hair again, but one year later admitted to E! Fashion Police she was taking a hair-growth vitamin supplement and "secretly tugging on it ever night" to make it grow. However, she said, "I'm going to rock it while I have it."
