Molly Sims showed off a shockingly different look at the Sports Illustrated 50th Anniversary Party in New York City on Feb. 18; the model changed her hair from blonde to a vibrant shade of red.
"Do Reds have more fun? I'm finding out," Sims, 40, posted on Twitter.
Sims partnered with Nexxus Color Assure for her new look. "I've always wanted to dye my hair red, but I was nervous that it was going to fade too quickly. Don’t get me wrong, changing your hair color is fun but the upkeep can be time consuming and super expensive!" she wrote on her blog.
Using the new Nexxus line, celeb colorist Aura Friedman of Sally Hershberger Downtown in New York City gave the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model her copper color. "Long time blonde @Mollybsims goes ginger," Friedman tweeted.
For the event, Sims wore a black sequined minidress with fringed sleeves and hemline. She played up her new hairstyle by wearing it down and in loose waves.
