With her brand-new hair makeover, Kirstie Alley seems to be channeling her days spent playing her character on Cheers, her hit TV show from the 80s and 90s.
The formerly blonde star, 60, uploaded a pic of her new brunette locks on her Instagram account Wednesday after hitting up Sally Hershberger LA where her colorist, Marko Tomassetti took her to the darker side.
"OK..I have dark brown hair..taking it out for a spin tonight…my verdict isn't in on it yet…I'll send some pics..;)" she tweeted.
Alley, who was a runner-up on Dancing with the Stars last season, has managed to win the battle of the bulge.
"I've lost 100 pounds," she told Entertainment Tonight in September. "I feel like I'm back in my element — I honestly didn't even realize what I looked like."
That same day, Alley strutted her banging body on the Zang Toi catwalk during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC. Clad in an elegant-yet-dramatic royal blue, rhinestone-adorned gown, she wowed the audience as she closed her designer pal's Spring 2012 show.
