It's the end for Dexter's killer duo.
Michael C. Hall, 39, and Jennifer Carpenter, who play siblings on the hit Showtime series, have called it quits after nearly two years of marriage, his rep confirms to UsMagazine.com.

"Having been separated for some time, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have filed for divorce," their reps announced in a shared statement to Entertainment Weekly, adding that the split was amicable.
After the pair began dating in 2007, they announced in January 2008 that they eloped on New Year's Eve in California.
Hall, who completed treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma earlier this year, recently told Us they tried to keep the on-set PDA to a minimum.

"We certainly pride ourselves in being professionals," he said. "Like I said earlier, we work on the same show but we’re not in every scene together. We don’t see each other on set as often as you’d think."

Season 6 is about to start. Has anyone heard of the filming of the season had any difficulties due to their split? I mean, Michael obviously can't leave the show. I hope Jennifer doesn't! Even though their chemistry faded in RL, their chemistry on screen is FANTASTIC!!
Actually, they were married for nearly 3 years. If they eloped January 2008 and they divorced December 2010, that's nearly 3 years. But, she doesn't seem like his type anyway. I see him with someone much more beautiful like the girl who played his wife on the show... maybe or many other Hollywood starlets. He'll find her.

Sad to hear, but how can you be married for 2 years yet "separated for some time"? When did you separate after 6 mos? Sounds like things went sour pretty quickly--He was pretty ill at one point..some relationships don't whether the stress of that kind of stuff very well...
What happened to the whole "his cancer brought us even closer" stuff? So they have barely been technically married 2 years and already "separated for some time"? Wow.
This makes me so sad. Their relationship is none of my business, but it still saddens me. Two of the BEST actors.
