In her first red carpet appearance since announcing she's on a new extreme vegan diet, Jessica Simpson flaunted her famous curves in a fitted full length gown Friday at the grand opening of the Casino Club at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W.V.
Last weekend, Simpson -- who turns 30 July 10 -- told fans via Twitter that she is on the strict diet so she feels better.
"Shocked my system with a vegan diet, special Pu-erh tea from China, and cupping since Friday!" she wrote.
Though the tea is widely used for weightloss, Simpson quickly Twittered (though deleted it a few hours later), "Just so everyone is clear.. this has NOTHING to do with weight!. It is about understanding my body through hydration and alkalinity."
As for cupping (an ancient Chinese healing practice of placing heated glass suction cups on the skin to remove the body's toxins), Simpson Twittered that it is making her feel great. "Has anyone ever tried cupping?"she asked. "When u know you are doing something good for ur body the meditation creates intense visions. Love it!"
No word if her new diet has anything to do with her struggling VH1 reality show The Price of Beauty.
A source tells UsMagazine.com the show -- which earned just 1 million viewers for its March premiere -- needs to be "retooled" for next season. A VH1 rep tells Us: "We are really excited about the next step, which we will announce soon and will air on VH1 in 2011."
