Jessica Simpson Is "Happiest She's Ever Been" Prepping to Wed

Bride-to-be Jessica Simpson is going to have the merriest Christmas ever!
"This is the happiest she's been in her entire life," her dad Joe Simpson told UsMagazine.com at Wednesday's launch party for his show The X Life.

Simpson, 30, and ex-NFL-er Eric Johnson, 32, got engaged last month after a whirlwind 5 1/2 months. (Popping the question in her L.A. home, Johnson surprised her with a $150,000 ruby-and-diamond ring.) "It's so wonderful to see," Joe gushed.

"She is in love and I know she will have so many love songs to write straight from the heart for her new record."

Joe had high marks for his future son-in-law, too. "I am thrilled," he said. "I love Eric. I think he's such a great guy and most importantly he loves Jessica and makes her so happy. As a dad, all you want is for your daughter to be happy and she is. He makes her so happy and I love that. I could not be happier!"
Joe noted that the brood -- which also includes daughter Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, her husband Pete Wentz and their little boy Bronx, 2 -- will spend Christmas together in L.A. "It's all about making a big Christmas for Bronx. Having a baby around at Christmas...that's just magical and it's wonderful. The whole family will be together."

11She's known this man 5-1/2 months and they're engaged? Oh no! Why are they in such a hurry? I hate to say it but this relationship seems doomed before they even tie the knot. I wonder if Jessica regrets ending her first marriage? The grass isn't always greener.
She is not fat. She has put on weight yes but FAT no. What she wears plays a big part daily in how she looks. Some days she looks thinner then others. Still a very beautiful girl with much love & open heart to give.
Judy--she isn't a 4 or 6--more like a 16, at least. But I agree with you that Nick is a loser--he and Vanessa seem to be on permanent vacation.
