Kristin Cavallari: El Salvador Charity Work Was "Incredible Experience"

Kristin Cavallari ditched The Hills to do a little charity work in El Salvador last month.
"Going to El Salvador was such an incredible experience," Cavallari, who traveled to the Central American country on Jan. 14, tells UsMagazine.com. The actress spruced up a local school with murals and played games like soccer and hop-scotch with students.

"It really put everything into perspective and made me appreciate everything I have," continued Cavallari, 23. "Seeing how happy and excited the kids were was the best feeling in the world."

The reality star -- who is currently filming the sixth season of MTV's The Hills -- will next travel with the One Kid, One World organization on a goodwill trip to Kenya later this year.

Good for her. She's always been the most centered, relative to the other Hills characters, which might not be saying much. I went down there to surf two years ago and the people were really nice so I'm glad she decided to help a country that needs it. I hope she keeps up the good work.

I like Kristin. She's the only Hills girl who's not prissy at all. She's always been the athletic, fun type. I loved Lauren but she was a little uptight too.
