Her attorneys had hoped Lindsay Lohan could strike a plea deal without jail time, but Judge Keith Schwartz shot that possibility down Wednesday.

"I'm going to tell you, this case does involve jail time period," the judge told Lohan in a California courthouse this morning. "If this is resolved in front of me, you will be going to jail."

Schwartz went on to say that he would not treat the Mean Girls actress, 24, differently than any other defendant.

"I treat everybody the same," he said. "I don't care that you're Lindsay Lohan, what I look at is what are the charges."

The starlet faces felony grand theft charges stemming from a $2,500 necklace she allegedly stole from a Venice, Calif. jewelry store on January 22.

She and attorney Shawn Chapman Holley have until March 10 to decide whether or not to take prosecutor Danette Meyers' offer.
