Nicole Kidman: "I Was Really Damaged" After Tom Cruise Split

Breaking up is hard to do.
Fans of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman alike were devastated when the Hollywood power couple suddenly divorced in 2001 after 11 years of marriage.
Kidman was pretty wrecked by the split, too, she confides in the new issue of Marie Claire UK.

"That was a great relationship," the actress, 43, says. "I think it ran its course." In the aftermath, she admits, "I was really damaged and not sure whether [love and marriage] was ever going to happen again to me."
During that high-profile union, Kidman says she made certain sacrifices for Cruise, 46. "I was never seeking to be a celebrity. But I was prepared to do that for love...It's hard when you're young. But I'm ready to give up anything for love, because ultimately, that is what you have."

Now remarried to Keith Urban, the Oscar nominee has two young daughters: Sunday, 2, and Faith Margaret, born via surrogate in late December. "I certainly never thought I'd have a baby at 41," she said of Sunday Rose. (The Q&A was conducted before Kidman and Urban revealed Faith Margaret's birth). "We never know what's around the corner."

These days, the Kidman-Urban brood live on a remote 36-acre in rural Tennessee. No problem, she says.
"I'm crazy in love," Kidman explained. "I think you can live anywhere and do anything when you're crazy in love."

She is beautiful and sweet. She has 2 children who live at home with her 100% of the time and 2 children who only lives with her 50% of the time. If I'm not mistaken she has voiced that she wants to spend more time with her older children, but since they are old enough to choose who they stay with, they choose their father. Just like Scientologists are taught to do. Don't knock Nicole. One of the few decent human beings in Hollywood at the moment. Love her!!!
You wouldnt mind your parents meeting Keith Urban. I wouldnt let my daughter date him. Are we forgetting he was in rehab for an addiction to cocaine and alcohol.

Evelyn Hendrickson, get your facts straight. She gave birth herself to one of her two daughters with Keith. Her figure has nothing to do with this; most likely age played a factor in having a surrogate for the second one. Again, get your facts straight. Nicole is beautiful; glad she is so happy. I know the area in Tennessee where they live; it is beautiful there.
No one ignores the fact that Nicole has two other children. You forget that they are members of the church of Scientology. Nicole has left that organization and returned to her original faith. When someone leaves Scientology, church members are expected to cut all ties with the "nonbeliever." I would imagine that is the case with those two young people. Who knows what Scientology has implanted in their minds about their mother.
It really disgusts me that everyone continues to ignore that she has two other children. It seems as though since those children are not biological that now they just don't seem to count. Just an observation that has gotten under my skin with the latest US weekly articles on her family. Guess I need a break...
She looks happier now that she's married to Keith than she ever looked while married to Tom. That's wonderful that she finally has a great life.

@ Evelyn. If you read the article it says Nicole has 2 daughters. The first one was born naturally and the second was born via surrogate. It also says Nicole is 43. So, she DID have a baby at the age of 41, and NO she didn't loose her figure. She looks so good it even tricked you.
SOMEONE SHOULD BREAK IT TO HER-SHE DIDN'T HAVE A BABY AT 41. SOMEONE ELSE CARRIED IT FOR HER SO SHE COULD CONTINUE TO ACT AND NOT LOSE HER FIGURE.

I have never considered Nicole to be a beauty, but good lord, she was much better looking before she wrecked her face.
To all the TC haters. Try reading the book by Andrew Morton (an unauthorized bio) of TC. In this book (that was not authorized by TC it will tell you exactly why the marriage broke apart and what Nicole (which was plenty) had to do with it. Trust me when I say Nicole was not innocent and hopefully now has grown up since it has been 10 years and two more children later.

his loss, nicole. things happen for a reason and you gained a man who really loves you - not wants you to do everything he says and wants you to give up being you. plus, tennessee gained a huge plus in getting to count you as one of our own now. :)
