What a difference a year makes! Peter Facinelli showed off his impressive muscles while on vacation with girlfriend Jaimie Alexander and his three daughters at Villa del Palmar in Cancun, Mexico, on Thursday, Aug. 22. The 39-year-old actor was photographed one year ago sporting a less-toned physique while vacationing with his girls in Hawaii.

Facinelli put his six-pack abs and chiseled bod on display while wearing white swim trunks and splashing around in the water with Luca, 16, Lola, 10, and Fiona, 6. The Twilight actor's girlfriend, 29-year-old actress Alexander, also made the trip and flaunted her slim body in a bright red string bikini.

The couple began dating in November 2012, just eight months after Facinelli filed for divorce from Jennie Garth, his wife of 11 years. Facinelli costarred with Alexander on Showtime's Nurse Jackie and in the 2012 movie Loosies.

Sadly, Monday marked the actor's last day on vacation. "Back home from an amazing family vacation," he tweeted. "Muchas Gracias @vdpcancun (Villa del Palmar, Cancun) Love this place! Had so much fun!"
