Apparently wearing a bra isn't a Basic Instinct for Sharon Stone. The 56-year-old sex symbol ditched her bra while wearing a black sheer top and leather pants on Sunday, March 23.
The Oscar-nominated siren was photographed leaving Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood and showing off a bit more than she likely intended. But Stone is used to flashing some skin, of course. In 1992's Basic Instinct, she made movie history when she uncrossed her legs during an interrogation to reveal she wasn't wearing underwear.
And now that she's well into her '50s, she embraces the idea of being a noted sex symbol more than ever.
"It's a pleasure for me now," she told Oprah Winfrey earlier this month. "If people want to think I'm a sex symbol it's like, 'Yeah! Think it up!' Why shouldn't we feel [like a] sex symbol in our '50s?"
But coming to terms with the aging process hasn't been an easy ordeal for Stone. The star admitted in the March 2014 issue of Shape that she had an emotional reaction to getting older.
"There was a point in my 40s where I went into the bathroom with a bottle of wine, locked the door, and said, 'I'm not coming out until I can totally accept the way I look right now,'" she revealed to the magazine. "I examined my face in the magnifying mirror, and I looked at my body, and I cried and cried and cried. Then I said to myself, 'You're going to get old now. How do you want to do that?'"
