Tori Spelling: Why I Got So Skinny

Tori Spelling's wafer-thin frame has been the topic of much debate -- and in her new book, TerriTORI, she reveals why she shed so much weight.
According to USA Today, Spelling, 37, blames swine flu, stomach pain, migraines and nerve problems for her weight loss. She says she had to take three rounds of antibiotics that caused severe stomach pain. "I've never had a great stomach, but (being ill) just completely tore up my stomach and broke down my immune system, and I've basically just been a mess ever since, stomach-wise," she says. "It's about rebuilding my immune system."

Last year, tabloid rumors got so wild that it prompted the 90210 alum to declare last fall on Twitter that she weighs 107 lbs.
"I'm a role model for a lot of women out there, so I hate that they say these things unwarranted, without any research and facts," she says. "I think it's doing a disservice to women out there that look up to any celebrity."
She says she worries "every single day" how the coverage will affect her daughter Stella, now 2, down the road.

"I'm so grateful that she can't read yet," she says. "I'm hoping they'll let up on that by the time she gets old enough to understand, but I'm going to have to explain to her that this is what happens."
Spelling -- who recently renewed her vows with husband Dean McDermott, as Us Weekly exclusively reported - also weighs in on their marriage, admitting that things got rocky last year.
"We had problems that we never thought we would have," she vaguely says. "We thought we had the perfect relationship. We realized we love each other, but the communication had completely broken down and a lot of our issues, honestly, came from parenting."

And how are things with her once-estranged mother, Candy?
"We do talk on the phone. We do e-mail. We see each other for dinners. We do the normal stuff I think families do. There's no strain," she says. "We're still building our relationship, of course, but she's great with the kids (Stella and Liam, 3). She's completely involved, which is all I ever wanted. We're just moving forward."

So if we're calling it swine flu antibiotics now, what was it before you got the flu? Because you have been scary skinny since Stella's birth. Your own reality show captured you in the kitchen backing away from food saying, "Carbs are evil." That ain't swine flu, T. That's an eating disorder.
Right.. Another LIAR. Tori has always had eating problems and weight issues. It's been rumored for years that Tori is a DIET PILL junkie. When a Hollywood celeb gets extremely thin and does NOT incorporate some form of exercise into their daily routine, the secret to their weightloss is either DRUGS and/or DIET PILLS. Tori stop lying. DIET PILLS and DRUGS not only takes off the fat but it drain their looks along with it. Tori was NOT a pretty girl from the start and now she looks really bad. Her hubby DEAN is only there because of Tori being the daughter of legenday and great Aaron Spelling. It takes a brave man to wake up next to THAT especially when Tori has no make-up on. YUCK! Imagine Tori's cold bony feet next to yours reminds me of TALES FROM THE CRYPT.

You people are so mean. The only problem that I have concerning Tori is that she was involved with someone (Dean) who was already married, but that takes two. Although it certainly doesn't excuse it, his marriage was clearly on the outs before she came along, and if he was so committed and in love with his wife, nothing could have come between them. Still, Tori should have waited until a divorce was finalized before becoming involved. Other than that, I like Tori. I think she's cute (not everyone can be lucky enough to be born as stunning as you haters think *you* are, invisibly sitting behind a screen)and she's just trying to live her life and be happy like the rest of us. Concerning her weight...look at how small her father was. Just maybe she's genetically predispositioned to naturally be thin? Maybe she *does* have medical problems, who knows? It's none of our business, anyway! She's a sweetie, so leave her to live her life in peace! Pity her for having to wake up next to what she does every morning -- I think he's creepy, myself. As long as she's happy, I guess.......to each their own.......

Swine Flu? Role Model? She is KIDDING HERSELF! Look in the mirror Tori! All we see is the daughter of a television producer who put his extremely ugly daughter on one of his shows to placate her and stop her whining back in the 90's. We see a no-talent, fame wh**, married to a gold digger who thinks she has a horse face. We see a very emotionally sick woman who needs to reveal her insecurities to a therapist rather than the tabloids! And we see a disinterested husband who is enbling his wife starve herself to death so he can get his hands his children's inheritance!
If she was so sick with the swine flu, how was she still able to film her show and go on HSN or wherever and sell her jewelry etc...?
Who, exactly, is she a role model for? Well, I guess she could teach you how to steal a woman's husband...not that he didn't want to be stolen, but you back away and when and if he is available, then it's another story...but....whatever, I'm just bored..why else comment on her?

She said she was embarrassed to say she had swine flu, but was not embarrassed to tell the world she had an affair and slept with a married man the first day they met? Tori is a cute woman no matter how skinny she is. If everyone had to deal with all that she's had to deal with we would all be skinny. Give her a break!!
Hey NO no no, you have no f'in idea what you are talking about. YES, swine flu does cause you to lose weight. I lost 10 lbs. in 2 weeks, I was throwing up and not eating anything, just drinking as much water as possible. So unless you know what the heck you are talking about, do us all a favor and keep your trap shut.

Swine Flu DOES cause all the symptoms she mentioned AND more! She doesn't have to answer to you people! Who are you to judge ANYONE that is fat or skinny? I know none of you are perfect! All of you people are afraid to tell people what you feel to other people's faces, so you wusses come to a tabloid site, where no one can see what YOU look like..haha! Yeah, I rest my case!

I guess I am one of the few that believes her on why she is thin and that is because my husband is going through the same thing. He had the swine flu in November, severe asthma complications after that and suffers from migraines. All of this combined has caused issues with the nerves in his stomach, issues so bad that he dropped over 30 pbs in a very short period of time. It took several months before they could figure out what was wrong with him. They said appendix, gallbladder, ulcer, etc etc before coming to the conclusion that it was nerve damage.
