Too close for comfort? Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé have been friends for well over 20 years — and friendship is all they want for their children.

“They’re extremely close,” Rowland told Us Weekly of her son, Titan, 2, and Beyoncé's daughter, Blue Ivy, 4. “It’s the sweetest thing.”

The former Destiny’s Child member, who chatted with Us at the March of Dimes 6th annual Celebration of Babies luncheon in Beverly Hills on December 9, loves watching her son and her BFF’s daughter play together.

“It’s the greatest thing about friendship, when you’re able to grow up together and your children are able to grow up together,” the 35-year-old said. “It's just years upon years of beautiful friendship and sisterhood.”

But when it comes to friend turning into potential in-laws, Rowland can only laugh. “They’re like cousins!” she explained when asked if she hoped the two would date someday.

While Titan has a cousin in Blue Ivy, he is without a sibling — for now.

“I feel like he’s a handful. He’s 2 and he’s tearing up my house and drawing on my walls,” Rowland said, adding that she could handle one more. “I’m so blessed to have him, and his dad [husband Tim Witherspoon] is an excellent dad and we have a nice little unit, us three.”

The little unit is a musically one, with Rowland admitting that while her son is a “boys boy” who loves planes, cars and sports, he’s also following in her footsteps musically.

“If he hears myself or anybody singing, he’s going to repeat it, like, it’s the weirdest thing – melody for melody,” she says.
