"Yes, it's true," Bardem, 41, told reporters, according to Access Hollywood. "I am very happy."

After Cruz was snapped sporting a baby bump, a rep for the Spanish stars confirmed Cruz's long-rumored pregnancy last week -- Cruz is 4 and 1/2 months along.  But neither Cruz, 36, nor Bardem have spoken publicly about the good news.

Bardem wouldn't reveal whether their baby-to-be will be a boy or girl. And what about fatherly words of wisdom? "It is a little too soon for me to be giving advice," he quipped. "I don't know yet, But I will find out soon."

If not him I would have been proud to be the father also. I have admired her before he even came along but that is not important now. Good luck you Three!

why didn't he keep his mouth shut and celebrate in private. they're never going to be iconic like Hoffman & Bancroft are. nor were they the first oscar winning/nominated couple to get married because the girlfriend/fiancee was pregnant try Elizabeth Taylor & Mike Todd. granted Taylor lost her first Oscar nomination to Joanne Woodward in the Spring of 1958. of course just before that Oscars the later had miscarried her & Paul Newman's first child together so the win was bittersweet.
