Mom-to-be Jewel is counting her lucky stars after escaping relatively unscathed from a scary Friday collision with a fire truck.

The pregnant singer, 36, admitted on Twitter Sunday that she was "real sore and banged up" after the close call near the Texas home she shares with hubby Ty Murray.

"But so glad to be walking around. Thankful and blessed."

The "Intuition" singer assured fans all was well shortly after Friday's crash.

"Just got released from the ER & my Dr's office. Everything is fine -- me and the baby are OK. Thanx for all your thoughts & prayers," she Tweeted.

What helped the star survive? "One thing I do know is my car saved my and baby's life," Jewel wrote. "Definitely going 2 get another Cadillac SRX! It absorbed all the damage and kept me safe!"
