"I went over to visit orphanages [in Haiti] and I ended up falling in love with this little girl, and by the grace of God, I got matched up with her," she told Access Hollywood on Friday. "So now, it' just a matter of trying to get her home an anything can happen and fall through or fall apart, so it's kind of premature for me to say it, but that's where its at."

Michaels told Us Weekly last May that her adoption paperwork was done, but she was playing the "waiting game."

"It could be six months, twelve months; it could be two years. Or, it could be tomorrow! They call you and they say, 'Oh, we have your referral,' which is essentially the child they match you up with, and you go overseas and you get him or her," she explained.

But if things don't work out with the Haitian girl she's been matched with? "You'll know why I'm devastated and not coming out of my house for months," she told Access Hollywood.

Hey US, how about editing your articles. This tidbit is riddled with grammar errors.

Freedom comes at a price and in this country the price is your time. US govt has so many rules and regulations that It takes so long. They go through everything about you. But, going overseas is faster and a little cheaper. I know 3 families who tried to adopt a child here and finally went overseas, because they couldn't wait any longer. 3-5 years is a long time!

As a mother who adopted my daughter from overseas, I can tell you that God leads your heart to where your child is. I am thrilled for Jillian! She has dedicated her life to helping others. I think that this will be a blessing beyond her wildest dreams! I know that my daughter has been. Loving my daughter has taught me more about the truest meaning of what love really is.

She will be an awesome mother and I think it is great she is getting a child from where she spends a lot of her time.

As a child that was adopted and as a mother who adopted I think she is doing a wonderful thing but why do Hollywood stars go overseas to adopt instead of adopting a child that is already in the US? I applauded Sandra Bullock for adopting her son here in the US. There are thousands of children in our country that need a home and need love. They are placed in foster care or an orphanage until they are adopted or reach the age of 18 and then are kicked out and forced to provide for themselves when they knowing nothing about the real world.

Umm, she doesn't seem like the "motherly" type....she's kinda abrasive. I don't know how well that will work out with a kid.. Oh well, God wouldn't give her a kid if she couldn't handle one.
