Katie Holmes Defends Putting Suri in High Heels

Katie Holmes doesn't think there's anything wrong with dressing her 3-year-old daughter Suri in high heels.
"Like every little girl, she loves my high heels," she tells Access Hollywood.

After Suri was spotted wearing high heels on multiple occasions, critics complained that the footwear could be detrimental to her physical development. "A common side effect of adults wearing heels too often is the tightening or shortening of the Achilles tendon," New York podiatrist Dr. Oliver Zong told Fox News.

But Holmes, 30, insists Suri's heels are supportive.

"They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids," she tells Access. "I found them for her and she loves them."
Suri also "loves dancing and singing and she's just a joy," Holmes told Extra. "She loves it all."

Tom Cruise's wife said they are all gearing up for a "big family Christmas" in Los Angeles this year. "I love Christmas," Holmes said. "It's my favorite."

so she's wearing a pair of heels? whats the big deal? they arent that high, or that thin for that matter.. they are ballroom dancing shoes.. and if those could damage her feet by wearing them a couple of times, then i guess my feet should have been gone by now?.. since i was 3 i grew up in dance and wearing these kinds of shoes for 8 hours a day sometimes and other days more, and theres nothing wrong with my feet or my legs or anything now and im 19 now.. my daughters both have pairs of shoes like these for when they dance.. i dont see the problem with them wearing them when we go out to a store for a bit. but they dont wear them all day long. all little girls want is to wear their moms high heels and her clothes so why not find a pair of heels actually ment for little girls to wear that fit properly.. people can be so stupid sometimes... ugh!.

In the house I might've owened a pair that is a toy set for a ballerina or gown dress. She looks like a little *hore. Seriously everyone is freaking out. I work retail, I see at least one little girl a day come into my store wearing the life size barbie shoes..she looks happy in all of the pictures so let her be.
