Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have finally revealed the names of their newborn twins who were born in L.A. on Saturday.

As reported on Carey's official blog, the couple's son's name is Moroccan Scott Cannon. Scott is Nick's middle name, as well as his grandmother's maiden name.

The top tier of Carey's NYC apartment is called the Moroccan Room, because of its Moroccan-inspired decor. It's also where Cannon, 30, proposed to Carey, 42, in 2008.

The first-time parents' daughter's name? Monroe Cannon. Carey's rep tells CNN Monroe does not have a middle name because her mother doesn't have one. The baby girl was named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Carey her whole life.
Carey's rep adds: "It has been a long emotional journey for this family, and I couldn't be happier for all of them."

I cant take it. The name Monroe is different for a female but the name Moroccon is just weird for a male. They should of named the boy Monroe and the girl Marina..... Just a thought. I totally love this couple together I hope they last a lifetime.

I guess I am much older than everyone here. All I can think of is that goofy gay character Monroe from Too Close For Comfort on TV in the 80s. Celebs are monumental idiots when they name their kids, but what do you expect from completely self-absorbed people? I got all these names trumped though. My hubby was a paramedic and a pregnant woman who was his patient decided to name her twins LEMONJELLO AND ORANJELLO. I sh*t you not.
