Lucky little Monroe! She's only 2 years old, but Mariah Carey's daughter has already met President Barack Obama. The "All I Want for Christmas Is You" singer brought her adorable little girl with her to perform at the National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Dec. 6.

"What an honor to kick off the holiday season with the First Family," Carey tweeted with a cute photo of President Obama greeting her daughter on stage. In the snapshot, Nick Cannon's wife carries Monroe on her hip. Obama, 52, flashes a big smile while leaning in to say hello.
For the special event, Carey wore a custom-designed short white Herve L. Leroux dress. Monroe styled a gray winter coat and white tights, and wore her hair in pigtails with white bows. Her twin brother, Moroccan, apparently stayed home with dad Cannon, 33.
Obama was joined by his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, and daughters Malia, 15, and Sasha, 12. He told the crowd, "I want to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season." The annual event, hosted by Glee's Jane Lynch, also included performances by Aretha Franklin, Train, Arturo Sandoval and Janelle Monae.
