Dinner time at Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's house is a multi-dish affair—at least when the pregnant Snooki & JWoww star is feeding her 21-month-old son, Lorenzo. "He's a good eater—he loves everything Italian," the proud mom, 26, told Us Weekly at an MTV press event in April promoting the new season of her reality show. "He loves to eat garlic and onions. Like, he'll get an onion and eat it!"

Lorenzo's mom, once known for her love of pickles on Jersey Shore, is giving into her pregnancy cravings as she awaits the arrival of her daughter—but her most desirable foods aren't always pizza and pasta.

"I craved a lot of fruit the first pregnancy, and this time it's strawberries. [During my first pregnancy], I would eat so much pineapple that my tongue would burn from the acid," Snooki, 26, told Us.

Snooki—who is navigating her pregnancy alongside pregnant BFF Jenni "JWoww" Farley, also expecting a baby girl this summer—has made healthy eating a priority as she prepares for baby No. 2. "My first pregnancy, I didn't do anything. I just sat and ate on the couch and I was literally a whale," recalls the reality star, who will wed fiance Jionni LaValle this fall. "I was so negative, 'cause I just didn't feel good at all. With this pregnancy, I'm working out and eating healthy. I feel better about life."

Another way the New Jersey-based mom stays active is chasing around her growing toddler. "He's running around. He's really, really smart. I'm not just saying this 'cause it's my son," Snooki tells Us. "We teach him every single day, and he's very aware of things. He's going to be 2, so he's getting to that age where he can actually communicate. It's a fun age!"
