It’s back to the Big Apple — and mom Katie Holmes — for Suri Cruise.
On Friday afternoon, the six-year-old rocked bright red Tretorn Jolly rainboots (and clutched a ruffly pink umbrella) for a lunch date with her mom in NYC.
Suri’s rainy day with Holmes, 33, comes on the heels of her mini-vacation to East Hampton with dad Tom Cruise. The Mission: Impossible actor reunited with his daughter on Tuesday — the father-daughter duo’s first time seeing one another since Holmes blindsided Cruise with her June 28 divorce filing. (The Kennedys actress was given primary custody of Suri during the settlement.)
Earlier this week, Cruise’s attorney, Bert Fields, shot down claims the Rock of Ages star had washed his hands of his little girl after splitting from her mom.
“Tom was shooting a film on location, but he spoke to Suri every day,” Fields told Page Six in a statement, blaming Cruise’s absence during the divorce proceedings on his jam-packed Oblivion filming schedule. “Tom dearly loves Suri and the last thing he would ever do is abandon her.”
While Suri spent time bonding with her dad, Holmes finalized her next career move: a major Broadway gig.
On Thursday, the actress was announced as a star of Theresa Rebeck’s upcoming show, Dead Accounts. This will be her first time on a Broadway stage since she appeared in All My Sons in 2008.
