Fans of TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8 know the mother of twins and sextuplets can be strict, but even relatives have said the children are being "exploited" at the expense of Kate's growing desire for fame and freebies. In addition to a show-sponsored vacation that left one child exclaiming, "Mommy, you're mean," newly surfaced video footage documented the reality show mom as she refuses to give her thirsty daughter, Mady, a sip of her water.

38this lady is a real b*t*h. Stop making excuses for her. She needs to work a real job and quit using her kids for money. If these kids did not bring in money I'm sure she wouldn't even look at them.
I think it's so wrong to sit and judge someone that you can't really know what they are going through with out walking in there shoes. Thats like we never see John any more does that mean he is a dead beat dad? She is trying to give all of her kids a good life with a lot of adventures that other wise wouldn't get.
i belive it's really two side no ones talking about the dad thats not really doing much for the maybe shes putting her kids out there, however shes giving them what many of us couldn't. maibel

...and you don't think people are paying Kate's way? I make fairly decent money, but with that I pay my own bills, not you nor anyone else. She's a freeloader if there ever was one! She disgusts me!
Atleast she's not sitting home collecting welfare. We should be more focused on those mothers. I'm sick of paying their way... GET A JOB!!!

I THINK THAT KATE NEEDS TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH HER KIDS..... BUT I ALSO THINK THAT SHE NEEDS A BREAK EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. I AM A MOTHER OF 4 BEAUITFUL CHILDREN AND I KNOW I NEED A BREAK EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE TOO. BUT KATE IS MONEY HUNGRY AND SHE DOES WANT TO BE IN THE STOP LIGHT,, AND SHE IS USEING HER KIDS TO DO SO I KNOW THAT THOES POOR BABIES HAVE TO BE TIRED OF ALWAYS HAVING A CAMRA IN THEY'RE FACE.. THEY HAVE NO LIFE THANKS TO THERE SO CALLED MOTHER.. MAYBE ONE DAY SHE WILL OPEN HER EYES AND SEE WHAT SHE IS REALLY DOING TO HER KIDS!!!! "GOD" I HOPE SO FOR THE WELL BEING OF THE CHIDREN.. WAKE UP KATE AND SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO YOUR BEAUITFUL CHILDREN.. "GOD" DIDN'T GIVE THEM TO YOU FOR YOU TO TREAT THEM LIKE THIS..
I am SO SICK of seeing Kate + 8. minus John, with john, divorcing john, on a date kate.. who really cares. I mean my dog didnt get this much publicity for having a litter she didnt want!!!!
you did the right thing i have a friend who have 2 kids and she think ever thought her he is not around to see his kids she cant make it on her on. well she look at your TV show and saw what you did and know she have a job. she doing really good. she watch your show everyday. i wish to meet you and your kids

She chose to have these children, now she should raise them correctly and nurture them, not worry about being famous and getting tons of money. She is no star, just a mother of 8 children that need a very supportive mother that's there for them!
Kate is money hungry! I used to love her, seriously i watched the show everyday. But now everytime i see her i am just horrfied then to add her to dancing with the stars, she is not a star. I feel sorry for those kids because their mother just cares about her face being on television and on magazines. Look at the old kate she was not like that. She is a horrible mother and anybody who defends her should not have kids. I think she should stay at home and take care of her kids, her 15 mins is over but her kids will always be there waiting for her to come back home.
If you were a real mom you would take that nursing job and juggle the kids on the side along with taking them to soccer, band, cheerleading,girl scouts or boyscouts whatever the children would like to do outside the house and not wait for mom or dad to get home from being in the news (good or bad) I was a single parent of 3 and foster mom to 3 other children, while my husband was over seas serving our country and I didn't have a nanny/housekeeper, or someone to drive me to the tanning. You need to come back to reality and stop exploiting the children for your own fame.
Why won't America ignore that famous for nothing, uber c word woman?!
She's a tough lady.. I admire here for just keeping going under the circumstances.. especially with the creep waiting for her to fail. God bless her and her babies.
Kate is a great mother and woman anf id very patient how many of us have 8 children and are not whining in NYC Men sound so stupid with their comments nancy, winchester ,ontario
marry you don't even have 8 kids in all so just get a life
