Alanis Morissette's former nanny is reportedly suing the singer for allegedly holding her hostage to take care of her son Ever in his room

Yikes! Alanis Morissette may have to put one hand in her pocket to pay up! The 39-year-old singer's former nanny is allegedly suing the songstress for holding her hostage to take care of her son Ever when he was a newborn, TMZ reports.

Morissette's ex-nanny reportedly filed a lawsuit on Thursday, Sept. 26, claiming that she was denied overtime and was forced to work a 12-hour night shift to look over the "Ironic" star's son. Morissette supposedly demanded that she was not to leave Ever under any circumstances (even to eat!), unless her husband Mario Treadway or the day-shift nanny was able to take her place.

In addition to suing for $30,000 in unpaid overtime, the first-time mom's ex-nanny is also asking for an additional $100,000 for emotional distress. She was employed from August 2011 to March 2013.

The "You Oughta Know" singer and Treadway welcomed Ever, now 3, on Christmas Day in 2010 with the help of a midwife. The couple married in May of that year at their Los Angeles home.
