Attention, youths! Amanda Seyfried has a message for you. The While We’re Young actress, 29, got candid about her issues with youth culture at the NYC premiere of her new comedy, which also stars Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, and Adam Driver.
“[Younger people] spend the entire day on Instagram, and they also take pictures of themselves and post them all the time with a veiled brag,” she told Us Weekly. “It’s sad.”
That said, who is her favorite Instagram-savvy hipster?
“Taylor Swift is pretty hip,” Seyfried said. “She seems pretty honest. I think that’s hip. She’s promoting knowing yourself, and that’s the best idol.”
Though her While We’re Young character, Darby, is a wild and carefree gal about town, Seyfried admitted she’s more of a homebody.
“I’m comfortable in the familiar,” she told Us. “I’m not a risk-taker. I’m a nester, so I’m nothing like [her]. Not in that respect.”
In fact, 10 years down the line, Seyfried, who has been dating actor Justin Long since 2013, said she sees herself having kids.
“I think it’s an important chapter,” the Les Miserables star said of motherhood. “There are some people who just know innately what they are, what they’re capable of. Yeah, it seems natural.”
