According to TMZ, which was first to break the news, she brought photographic evidence of the alleged abuse. A source confirmed to Us Weekly that a judge granted the Danish Girl actress’ request.

The Magic Mike XXL star, 30, wore a simple black dress and her blonde hair down for the hearing. She kept her eyes downcast and hands clasped in front of her as she made her way to her vehicle afterward. The actress also appeared to have some bruising on her right cheek.

Heard was later seen sobbing in the back of her car as it left the courthouse.

The actress filed for divorce from the Pirates of the Caribbean star, 52, on Monday, May 23, after just 15 months of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

The Oscar-nominated actor was not present at the Friday hearing. He instead was in Lisbon, Portugal, helping to fit the elderly with hearing aids as part of his band Hollywood Vampires’ partnership with the Starkey Hearing Foundation. The rock group is scheduled to perform there at the Rock in Rio Lisboa festival Friday.

Depp’s rep said in a statement to Us on Thursday, May 26, that the actor was looking forward to putting his marriage behind him.

“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life,” the rep said. “Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.” (His mother, Betty Sue Palmer, died on Friday, May 20, at age 81.)

Depp and Heard married in February 2015 after meeting in 2009 on the set of their film The Rum Diary. He was previously in a 14-year relationship with Vanessa Paradis. The actor and the French singer-actress are the parents of daughter Lily-Rose, 17, and son Jack, 14.
