Amber Rose might have a beef with Kanye West, but her heart goes out to his wife, Kim Kardashian, after she was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris apartment.
The model opened up to Us Weekly in an interview Monday, October 3, and reacted to the news that her onetime rival had been the victim of a terrifying crime.
“It’s unfortunate,” she told Us backstage at Dancing With the Stars. “It’s sad.”
Rose, 32, has an ongoing feud with West, who she dated from 2008 to 2010, but she’s been building bridges with her reality TV buddy over recent months.
When Us asked if she’d spoken to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star since the ordeal, Rose said: “No. I'm literally here all the time,” she said referring to the set of DWTS. “I feel like I live here.”
As Us exclusively reported, Kardashian feared for her life and thought she was going to be sexually assaulted when five men dressed as police officers robbed her in the early hours Monday morning.
The insider revealed the 35-year-old was in bed, wearing only a bathrobe when her hands were bound with plastic zip ties before she was carried into a bathroom by the intruders.
A gun was held to her head, according to the source, as the robbers “gagged her … covering her mouth but not her nose.”
They wrapped her with tape before leaving her in the bathroom as they took off with her jewelry estimated to be worth $10 million.
Kardashian’s rep told Us in a statement on Monday that her client was left “badly shaken but physically unharmed.”
Several other celebrities reached out to the social media maven via Twitter to offer their support.
James Corden slammed haters who joked about the incident writing: “People making jokes about @KimKardashian tonight would do well to remember that she's a mother,a daughter,a wife,a friend. Be nice or shut up.”
Kardashian’s friend Chrissy Teigen also chimed in. “No one is begging you for sympathy. I know the game plan is to naturally hate celebrities,” she posted when one fan asked her how they were supposed to feel sorry for someone who owns millions of dollars of jewelry. “Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you’d make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets.”
Piers Morgan tweeted: “Feel very sorry for @Kim Kardashian. Must have been a terrifying experience. #Paris #robbery.”
