A wintery welcome! Anna Kendrick returned to her home state of Maine for Thanksgiving and was met with some seriously chilly weather.
The Into the Woods star, 29, shared snapshots from home on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and Thursday, Nov. 27, capturing picturesque images of the seasonal snow.
Kendrick first shared a photo of a cemetery with its fence and tombstones covered in white. A towering tree with snow-covered branches frames the black-and-white photo.
"Hometown landscape… #TheNorthRemembers," the Pitch Perfect actress captioned the shot, referencing an episode of HBO's Game of Thrones.
Kendrick was born in Portland, Maine, a hometown she called "an unlikely place to start" for her acting career. Its location served the star well, however, as she told MTV in 2008 that her parents would drive her down from the age of 10 to New York City "if there were ever auditions."
In the early hours of Thanksgiving, Kendrick posted another image from her frosty abode. The photo shows a snowy landscape of trees and water with a classic gazebo, all lit by the morning sun.

"No power, no heat, but we'll eat canned cranberry sauce and be pleased as punch. 207," she wrote, adding the area code that covers the state of Maine.
