Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may not have been able to save their 10-year marriage, but they’re doing everything they can to make sure their three children — Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3 — are happy in the wake of the couple’s split, sources reveal in the new issue of Us Weekly.

As Us previously reported, the estranged pair are living on the same rental property in Atlanta, Ga., while Garner, 43, films her upcoming movie, Miracles From Heaven, this summer. Affleck, 42, is staying in the guesthouse of the five-bedroom, 5,114-square-foot home, to care for the children while she works. And should they run into each other in the house, they keep things civil.

“They both put on their happy faces and don’t show any signs of anger or frustration,” a source tells Us. “They definitely play happy family in front of the kids.”

The two, who fell in love on the set of 2003’s Daredevil, are also making sure that their children continue to get one-on-one time with each parent. “Ben and Jen have always made a point to do that so each kid gets special bonding time,” another insider says.

In fact, shortly after arriving in Atlanta, Affleck was spotted spending some daddy-daughter time with Violet at the Atlanta Center for Civil and Human Rights on July 9, and the little girl looked happy during the educational adventure.

“He’s always been a great dad, and that hasn’t changed,” a source tells Us of the Oscar-winning star, who will be playing Batman in the upcoming DC superhero flick Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Sources tell Us that Garner and Affleck will aim to keep up the united front — including cohabitation — once they’re back in L.A. The stars will be renovating the guesthouse on their $17.5 million property so that Affleck can stay there, and allow them to continue co-parenting as best as they can.

“They want to fill their children’s lives with as much love as possible and make sure they know they have two parents who love them to pieces,” a source tells Us.
