Ben Affleck ‘Wasn’t Thrilled’ With the ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Script — and Rewrote It Dressed As the Superhero!

Writing the wrongs! While filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ben Affleck, who stars as Batman, would tweak the script, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.

The Oscar-winning screenwriter “would go into wardrobe and get all suited up for the day in his Batman suit,” explains the insider of the action flick. “Then he would sit around reworking the script. Ben wasn’t thrilled with it and would find himself on multiple occasions fixing it the day of.”

A fan of the comics, the single dad of Violet, Seraphina and Samuel (with ex Jennifer Garner) insisted on saving Gotham. “Ben was excited to do a Batman film,” adds another source. “He’s fascinated by the character!”

Affleck, 43, was shocked when he was asked to sign on to the film. “My first reaction was, ‘Are you sure?’” he told Entertainment Weekly in July. “At the the time I was 40, 41, and had just finished Argo, and I felt like, ‘This seems like a strange way to get Batman.’”

The superhero film also stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa as Aquaman. The movie hits theaters March 25.
