Naya Rivera shocked the world when news broke this week that she wed longtime friend Ryan Dorsey in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on July 19—the same day she was supposed to marry ex-fiance Big Sean—but, the rapper himself, is apparently unfazed.
On Thursday, July 24, Big Sean tweeted a pun photo of Nicki Minaj's revealing new single cover (complete with a G-string thong) with the caption: "Now every time I perform it I'm a think of this." He hasn't shared his opinion, meanwhile, about Rivera's surprise nuptials; he and Rivera called off their engagement in less-than-cordial fashion three months ago.
"We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife," the Glee star and her new hubby, an actor, told Us Weekly in a joint statement on Wednesday, July 23. "Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for. True love always prevails."
And although the 26-year-old rapper isn't expressing any shock, Rivera's brand-new father-in-law, Arnold Dorsey, tells the Daily Mail he was a bit surprised to learn the pals were tying the knot.
"We knew about the wedding six weeks ago, still, it was a bit of a shock!" Ryan's dad told the site. "I met Naya a couple of weeks ago, I was working in California and I drove up to her house. She's very tiny, real petite, but real down to earth, not with her nose stuck up in the air," he added.
Despite tying the knot on the same day Rivera was scheduled to wed Big Sean, a source tells Us the couple said "I do" on July 19 because it was Ryan's 31st birthday. "That is why they did it that date," the insider tells Us, "The venue and dress and date had nothing to do with Sean."
"They were friends for a long time," another source tells Us of the newlyweds. "It turned into love!"
