When Bristol Palin lost her virginity, it wasn't the romantic experience she had envisioned.

In her new autobiography, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far, the 20-year-old single mom reveals that, while drunk for the very first time, she lost her virginity to Levi Johnston during a camping trip.

Palin says she woke up alone in her tent, with no recollection as to what happened. Johnston, meanwhile, "talked with his friends on the other side of the canvas."

When she confronted him about their sexual encounter, Johnston, now 21, told Palin what she wanted to hear: they wouldn't have sex again until they were married.

But, Palin writes, they became intimate again shortly after. When she learned she was pregnant in 2008, Palin was on birth control pills prescribed to treat her cramps; it took eight home pregnancy tests to convince her that she was expecting.

Palin's parents, to her surprise, were incredibly supportive. They also reminded her to stay focused on the future, particularly her continuing education. Johnston's reaction was less comforting. "Better be a f***ing boy," he told her.

The memoir, co-written with Nancy French, describes Johnston (the father of Palin's 2-year-old son, Tripp) as a "gnat" who is "constantly spreading false accusations against our family." Palin also calls him a self-involved slacker "who cheated on me about as frequently as he sharpened his hockey skates."

And yet, Palin writes that when her mother, Sarah, was introduced as Senator John McCain's vice presidential pick in August 2008, being on display with Johnston "somehow legitimized us as a couple."

After Tripp's birth in December, Palin discovered via text message that Johnston had been cheating on her. Once Johnston admitted to the affair, they decided to break up. Eighteen months later, the couple reunited and shocked their families with an announcement: they were engaged. Shortly after, Johnston informed Plain that he had gotten another woman pregnant, which ended their relationship for good. "I'd just made a complete fool of myself and given my family the middle finger," Palin writes.

Johnston, for his part, will share his side of the story with his own book, Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin's Crosshairs, which arrives in bookstores this fall.

She beats those tramps on Pregnant at 16, and those other teens usually on welfare.

@Adelaide: Maybe young girls considering teenage sex might learn NOT to do it by reading this book. We have freedom of speech for a reason. Anyone can write a book, including an autobiography. Just because you aren't interested, doesn't mean someone else wouldn't be. You can't just censor people because you don't think they are important enough. Plenty of people who didn't achieve all that much have written autobiographies. Obama is one. His life was interesting, but when he wrote Dreams of My Father, he hadn't exactly achieved greatness or anything noteworthy, however you would probably never think of censoring him.

Bristol Palin - one desperate, unwed, teen mother, who uses the media to compete with her skanky ex-baby daddy. http://bit.ly/leqi34

I thought biographies and autobiographies are written about great people who have made tremendous contributions to the society and humanity. Why is it that people who are far too young and have contributed nothing significant to humanity want to be read and heard about? This makes biographies and autobiographies loose much weight and of no value.

I have more respect for her then the trash on MTVs teenie pregnancy shows.

So a Palin wasn't a virgin?? What about WEINER? Think he was? well its too bad Levi is a pig, and I for one commend Bristol for being so honest. She never said he raped her, she drank for the first time and he took advantage. She didn't have an ABORTION, the easy way out for everyone. She tried to face the music and do the right thing all in the glare and vile hatred of the DEMOCRATS and the paps. I would bet most of you would crumble at what she's been through publicly. so sthu!

So a Palin wasn't a virgin before she married. Why doesn't the MSM ever talk about the fact that Mama Palin got knocked up and quickly married Todd. I mean, really, when is this sanctimonious family ever going to fess up that they are all about "do as I say, not as I do." All of them were having sex before marriage - like the majority of young people today. But the fact that they are front and center talking abstinence is just ludicrous. Spare us your condemnations Palin Family!

I love all the self-righteous liberals on this website, especially @billkilpatrick - dude with your scary webcam picture, she is still younger than the dockers you threw on the floor after work yesterday. If she was a Kennedy, you'd be praising her to high-heaven for being so honest and open and echoing some tire sentiment about Uncle Teddy..I think liberals need to learn the difference between the term "blame" and the term "explain"...if you were engaged to a schmuck like Levi Johnston and had his baby, wouldn't you want to explain yourself. As for bill's bad info regarding Bristol's marital status, he doesn't care about validity of information - he's a liberal, he's more into slamming Bristol's mom. So I think that takes alot of credibility away from Bill and his scary webcam picture. Oh and Celine, its spelled consensual. Perhaps if you are going to make stupid comments, you should learn to spell. I think coming up with stories to sell books is something she no doubt learned from President Clinton..oh that's right, he didn't make any of that up.

She is no worse then that trash of a tv show, 16 and pregnant. All tramps then.

  • June 18, 2011 - 11:10pm Celine Jos

Yeah, blame it on the alcohol...what a joke! She also says they got intimate again...no mention of alcohol there...it was consentual! Funny now she's coming up with this story to sell her book, its just pathetic, and makes her sound like a drunken ho!

@bill kilpatrick-where are you getting your info that they were "married?" they were only engaged, they never made it to the altar...

  • June 18, 2011 - 9:35pm Christy G. C Shinker

well, what else do you expect to happen when she's drinking at 15/16 years old, gets wasted and is sleeping in the same tent as her boyfriend? ( DUH ) and if it was rape, then why didn't it get reported and charges filed? then she gets back together with him and marries him? sounds like every other teenage girl i know, lying to avoid the consequences of their actions ...... SSDD LOL

  • June 18, 2011 - 8:16pm Nikki Fields

This girl is such a moron, I'm sick of hearing about her. All Palins, go away please.

  • June 18, 2011 - 7:30pm Bill Kilpatrick

You can't blame Bristol. Sure, she had a kid but she never wavered in her commitment to abstinence. She was date-raped. She didn't even know what was going on. She was drunk. But she's not at fault for drinking. It was her first drink. Where did this happen? When she went on a camping trip with him and his friends. What's more, Palin reported the crime. When? Well, after going on TV with the boy and then marring him and then breaking up with him and then writing a book about it. Yeah, that's it. Makes perfect sense to me.

  • June 18, 2011 - 7:20pm Bill Kilpatrick

I don't buy it. It's not that date rape doesn't happen. It's just that BP is saying she got pregnant from a date rape, a date rape that happened after she had her first drink, a drink she took while on a camping trip with a boy she later appeared on stage with at the Republican National Convention - and then married. Even giving her the benefit of the doubt, BP still comes off as someone with incredibly shoddy judgment. Given that she's only claiming this now, after the two have broken up, her reliability is highly questionable. I think the real crime is the childhood lost to mommy's gambit for the White House.

What parent in their right mind lets their high school age kid go, unchaperoned, on a coed overnight camping trip? And if there were adults on this camping trip, they were clearly not paying attention - can't exactly get that wasted w/o a fairly observant adult noticing, and there would at least be a same-sex adult in eact tent. My parents would *never* have allowed me to go on that kind of a trip, and, being a mother myself, I would *never* allow my kids to go, either.

If Levi is a gnat, is Bristol and tramp and what does that make Tripp? She is also claiming in her "book" that she was using birth-control prescribed for "cramps". While Levi was sleeping in Brisket's bedroom under the Palin's roof for months, does this mean that she was blacking out on wine coolers every day so he could rape her? Bristol why were you pro-birth control and said "abstinence is unrealistic" before you were all FOR abstinence....tell us again how much money you've been paid so far off your little "mistake" and money-maker. Someday Tripp will be old enough to read and will no doubt manage to find a copy of this piece of trash Bristol has put in print. Even if this were a true accounting, a caring, loving parent would NEVER, EVER put it down in writing for their child to someday read.

Are you kidding me? SHE is the one who got herself SO trashed she doesn't "remember" doing "the nasty" with her high school boyfriend???? And it's HIS FAULT???? And if he was SUCH a monster - why did she go running back to him again and agree to marry him?
