Carrie Underwood: Santa Brought Me a "Fiance!"

Carrie Underwood says she got some great presents this year -- among them, "a pair of pink warm fuzzy socks to keep my tootsies nice and toasty," she writes on her fan club site.
Her best gift?
"I think you all know what Santa left under the tree for me this year...a fiance! Woo hoo!" writes the singer, 26, who announced last week that she and hockey player Mike Fisher are engaged.

She adds that her rat terrier, Little Ace, "is finally going to have a dad! We all couldn't be happier!!!"

She says that the "mess of snow and ice" cut their holidays travel plans short, but they still "got to spend a little time in good ole' Checotah," she writes, referring to her Oklahoma hometown. "Not that I needed another day of all that food! I ate so much on Christmas Eve that I thought I might actually get sick! But it was sooooo goooood! Ace got lots of good stuff, too, from his poppy. Now I have to retrain him not to beg at the dinner table."

Underwood and Fisher, 29, have yet to set a date, but he said they're aiming to wed next summer.

50I hope they will be very happy. They are a beautiful couple. Carrie is talented, lovely, and very kind. I don't understand why people call her high maintenance when all celebrities dress with glitter and glamour. She is not last year. There will always be a market for her kind of talent.

The past is the past. Yeah there was a time when Mike strayed from his values. People mature and grow. He rededicated hisself to his faith and he loves Carrie. Let them be happy. Look in your own past for your own skeletons b4 you thro a stone. We are all but human and far from perfection.
Mike was a big womanizer here in Ottawa for many years. I hope he has changed since meeting Carrie.
I would be careful if I were Carrie. I have lived in Ottawa my whole life and know everything about the Senators players, including Mike. I have even met most of them and know girls that were dating or sleeping with them. Even though Mike is a great guy, it is a well-known fact in town that, as of a couple of years ago, Mike was a big-time womanizer and playboy. That was before he met Carrie and when he was single, so I guess its possible that he has changed but I would still keep him on a tight leesh if I were Carrie.

The Truth About Carrie: A person with morals, such as yours, would never understand people with morals and principles. There isn't anyway someone like you could understand the thinking of people like Carrie. To the person who said Mike was gay, I had the biggest laugh I have had in a long time. I lived in Ottawa for 14 years until last year, and I personally know several girls that were "with" him. It is well-known in Ottawa that Mike was a big womanizer, but he has also grown-up and matured and doesn't do that anymore. I believe that he will stay true to Carrie because he really seems to love her.

Wow--The women/girls who say that "all men cheat" must have had some REALLY bad experiences/relationships because this just isn't true! Just because you couldn't hold on to your man certainly doesn't mean that other women can't hold on to their men! You have some sour grapes because you were cheated on, and that is a shame. But, there are good, faithful and monogamous men out there---you just need to find one! There are plenty of people, men and women, who are players and who will mess around no matter what. But to say that "all men cheat" is grossly overstated and totally wrong. Not true by any stretch of the imagination.

Whoa Rachel, bitter much? I can say my husband of 7 years has never cheated. It's called having morals and holding yourself to a higher standard. Maybe because you expect that behavior, men can't wait to cheat on you and get with someone that isn't so negative. I mean, it is after all what you expect of them, why should they let you down?
