Cheryl Burke Thinks Caitlyn Jenner Should Do Dancing With the Stars, Would Pair Her With Tony Dovolani

Former Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke said she'd love to see Caitlyn Jenner compete on the ABC show

How about a Mirrorball Trophy to go along with that gold medal? Caitlyn Jenner is no stranger to competition, having famously achieved Olympic glory in the 1976 decathlon. And former Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke, for one, would love to see the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star face her next big race in the ballroom.

“I think Caitlyn would be amazing on DWTS,” Burke, 31, told Entertainment Tonight. “The whole family has basically done it. I danced with Rob [Kardashian]. Kim did it a few seasons ago.”

In fact, Jenner’s stepson finished second during 2011’s Season 13, trailing just behind Mirrorball victor J.R. Martinez, who danced with Karina Smirnoff. And Kim competed, albeit briefly, in 2008’s Season 7 with pro partner Mark Ballas.

“Caitlyn and Tony Dovolani would look great together,” Burke told ET. “Or actually, Caitlyn and Val [Chmerkovskiy].” (Val, the younger brother of Season 18 champ Maksim Chmerkovskiy, took home his first Mirrorball in the recently finished 20th season, which he danced with Rumer Willis.)

Jenner, 65, certainly wouldn’t be the first former Olympian to make a run at the Mirrorball. Previous medal winners-turned-ballroom hopefuls include Apolo Ohno, Kristi Yamaguchi, Shawn Johnson, Evan Lysacek, Meryl Davis, Lolo Jones, and Nastia Liukin.
