She should have stuck with a sparkly gown! Chris Harrison had a pretty hilarious explanation for why one woman is wearing a shark costume in Nick Viall’s Bachelor season 21 premiere photos.

In the group pic from the first night at the Bachelor mansion, Alexis, 23, who was dressed as the ocean creature, stood out among the other 30 ladies clad in their finest evening attire.

The longtime Bachelor host, 45, revealed that it was actually a mix-up. Alexis, whose job is listed as an aspiring dolphin trainer, thought that she had picked out a dolphin get-up.

“The only problem with the dolphin girl is if you look closely, she was wearing a shark costume,” Harrison told Entertainment Weekly. “She just didn’t know that it was a shark costume. She thought it was a dolphin costume, and I had to explain to her how the fins are clearly different and a dolphin fin is curved and a shark fin is straight. I said, ‘You have a shark costume on,’ and she was like, ‘No, but I love dolphins.’”

Alexis isn’t the only contestant with an interesting job. A food truck owner, a model, a flight attendant and more will also compete for Viall’s final rose. “This season is going very, very well,” an insider told Us back in October. “Like, one of the best seasons ever. Nick is finding love — for real.”

The Bachelor premieres on ABC Monday, January 2, at 8 p.m. ET.
