Classy lady...Great actress...Big loss
I was sadden to hear about Dixie's death. I had the opportuninty to met her at I.P. A. convention in Washington D.C. She will be remembered as a very classey lady. I enjoyed her on Designing women also.
You know whats funny about the comment made by 'People are so stupid and nosy'? You are pretty much doing what you think is stupid...hmm look how the tables have turned. And she was a popular actress so the fact that her death was announced isn't a shocker, its just common, and yes its a private family matter but I'm pretty sure the only insensitivity is from you - so, thank you for letting us know about her passing, she will be missed by her family and friends and all of her fans. Stay classy San Diego!
Rest in peace, Miss Dixie. My condolences to her family and friends.
RIP Dixie! I loved you on Designing woman!
Beautiful woman, rest in peace.
luved her on Designing women!
My last name is McLemore, and I was very surprised and pleased to learn that there is a McLemoresville, TN - which I discovered when I read about Dixie Carter marrying Hal Holbrook there. I also discovered later that she was born in McLemoresville, and owned a house there. Dixie, you will always be a part of my extended McLemore clan.
Jenni -- I agree with you. People are so negative on here. It's the same people over and over again leaving nasty comments. Do they sit at their computers ALL day waiting to comment? Get a job people!!! This was one classy lady -- thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Dixie and her husband Hal blended so well together as husband and wife, I enjoyed them both on Designing Women, my sympathies to him and all who cared. RIP
A regal and sexy lady, she and her husband Hal blended so well together, and I enjoyed them both on Designing Women, my sympathies to him and all who love her.
According to People magazine she died from complications of endromentrial cancer.
Beautiful, sweet, sexy and classy. A smile that could light up a room. I could go on and on. Prayers go to her family and she will be forever in our memories. To those of you with nasty things to say...go get a life already. Some people are just so miserable in their own lives they try to spread that around to everyone else. Perhaps she had cancer and wanted to die with some dignity. So stfu and give her that! Her husband does not have to tell anyone of her last days and what happened. Why should he tell you anything???
Get over it people. Death is a private family matter. Some of you nosy fat bittches just have to know everything. Do you think they care if you feel the need to know? Nope, they could care less. It isnt like she was 40 years old and passed away. It just pisses you off that you dont know how she died. Pathetic bunch of welfare grubbing trailer trash on here. You really freaking dont need to know what happened to her. She is not your family and I am sure she as grateful of that. Get a freaking hobby and get off the damn computer. HER PASSING IS A PRIVATE FAMILY MATTER...
I had no idea she was even that old!!
I loved Dixie especially on Designing Women. She nailed the Julia part. Loved to see her/her character tell people off with so much class and getting her point across! So what if the family isnt stating cause of death yet. Perhaps they arent sure. Geez people the woman was 70 years old. And to be quite honest, it is none of our business how she died, so get over it already! Prayers go out to her family. She was a awesome woman in my eyes!
My heart breaks!!! Rest in piece Julia! I loved her so!!
