Some mothers may be overbearing when it comes to their daughters' wedding details, but that's not the case for Eva Amurri, Susan Sarandon's 26-year-old daughter.

"[The wedding planning is] going awesome!" Amurri told Us Weekly at a charity event in Beverly Hills Wednesday night. "It's had its stressful moments, but it's been wonderful. My parents are helping out by being supportive, and they're not getting too involved or too opinionated about things that they need or don't want, so that's been really helpful. They just kind of help out where we ask them to. They're being very laid back so it's good."

Amurri, who is famous for her small-screen role on Californication, Tweeted her engagement to ESPN commentator and former soccer player Kyle Martino, 30, back in December: "The most wonderful man on this planet is now my FIANCEE!!!! #Engaged!"

Despite keeping mum on the details of her wedding dress ("It's all a surprise!" she laughed) and the exact date of her nuptials, she did tease that the wedding will take place sometime this year.

Amurri is Sarandon and Italian film director Franco Amurri's only daughter, so it makes sense that Martino would need to earn mom's seal of approval. The 64-year-old actress gushed to Us about her future son-in-law days following her daughter's announcement: "He's just a very sane, really lovely guy. His family's fabulous. He adores her. I mean, you couldn't ask for anything more."

And on Wednesday's red carpet, the bride-to-be admitted to her finance's admirable attributes:

"He's pretty good at doing the dishes," she told Us.
