Jamal and Latika together again! On Saturday, Sept. 19, exes Freida Pinto and Dev Patel reunited for the Pratham USA Los Angeles chapter’s 20th anniversary dinner. The pair gave a joint speech at the charity event and embraced as photographers snapped away.
The Blunt Force Trauma actress, 30, wore a blush-colored dress with gold accents, while the Newsroom star, 25, still sporting his longer mane and facial hair, donned a navy coat and merlot-colored shirt.
Each one looked engaged while the other was speaking for the organization, which is committed to ending the cycle of poverty by improving the education and literacy rates of children in India.
Us Weekly exclusively broke the news back in December that the Slumdog Millionaire costars had split after eight years together.
Patel told The Guardian in February, “We are incredibly close. She’s just a really generous, patient human being who has been one of the most impactful people on my life. A lot of my motivation has come from her, from being with her and knowing her.”
Pinto mirrored the sentiment, telling USA Today in April, “Running away from it is not going to help you find your answers. So we’re facing it. And we’re dealing. And Dev and I are best friends. That’s never going to change.”
