That explains it! French Montana and Khloé Kardashian split more than a year ago, but as he revealed this week, the two are still very close. The “Pop That” rapper — who has been spotted hanging out with Kardashian on numerous occasions since their December 2014 split — told E! News on the Grammys 2016 red carpet on Monday, February 15, that they’re “great friends.”
Kardashian and Montana, both 31, even remained pals throughout her most recent relationship with James Harden, from whom she split earlier this year.
"She's good, she's good,” Montana said of Kardashian when asked about her split from Harden. “I spoke to her last week. We're great friends. I think we're going to be friends forever."
As previously reported, the Strong Looks Better Naked author called things off with Harden in January. The pair were first linked following Kanye West’s June 2015 birthday.
Both the NBA Pro and Montana have had to deal with Kardashian’s estranged husband, Lamar Odom.
As the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star explained during a December 2014 episode of Kourtney & Khloé Take the Hamptons, she rushed into her romance with Montana following her split from Odom. "It's nothing against French. I just think I don't want a boyfriend," she said at the time. "I jumped into something because I was just, like, lonely and destructive. But now I'm like, I just want to be alone."
The 31-year-old reality star filed for divorce from Odom in December 2013. Following his October 2015 hospitalization, Kardashian pulled the plug on their divorce to help with Odom’s recovery. During the former Lakers player's hospitalization, Kardashian and Harden took a brief break before calling things off completely.
