Big man, little dog! Hafþór Júlíus "Thor" Björnsson, the Game of Thrones actor who plays Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane, has the fluffiest, tiniest dog and it’s melting our hearts.
The Pomeranian’s name is Ástríkur, a reference to the sidekick of a character with superhuman strength in a popular French comic book series. While Björnsson, 27, appears as a violent enforcer on the hit HBO show and is even training for the World’s Strongest Man competition in real life, it seems he’s a total softie with his pooch.
The Icelandic actor recently brought his dog along for an outdoor workout, and they make the most adorably mismatched pair. “The most cardio I’ve done in years!! #TimeForPizza,” he wrote of an Instagram video of himself running back and forth with Ástríkur sprinting by his side.
The Pomerian is even allowed to go to the grocery store and sit in the shopping cart (along with an insane amount of meat for Björnsson’s diet), and frequently watches the new Game of Thrones episodes with his dad.
The pup has his own Instagram account as well, where he shows off new outfits, reads articles about his dad and occasionally gets into trouble. Follow him here.
