Teresa and Joe Giudice's eldest daughter is trying to stay strong. Gia Giudice, who was previously filmed breaking down on The Real Housewives of New Jersey over her family's troubles, tweeted positive messages following the couple's sentencing on Thursday, Oct. 2.
"Family forever," Gia, 13, wrote. "Such an amazing support system it's unreal." Feeling a bit down Friday, she added: "The little things matter to me but the big things matter to you," alongside a picture of a sad face.
Teresa and Joe — also parents to daughters Gabriella, 9, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5 — were sentenced to prison this week for 15 and 41 months, respectively. During the trial, the couple's lawyer Miles Feinstein told Judge Esther Salas that Joe tried to do "everything he could" to exonerate Teresa.
"He wanted his wife to get the best deal she could get," Feinstein said Thursday. "He is a real man."
Teresa's brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga have yet to comment on the situation. Teresa's longtime friend Dina Manzo shared a simple Twitter message following the judge's decision. "Just send love," she wrote.
