Congrats to our little Neitczhe here-1 year ago today, to the minute, you brought 5 beautiful puppies into this world-thank you for your amazing contribution to all of our lives. However, welcome to the wonderful world of being spayed-The world does not need any more puppies, we kill millions and millions per year. These two beautiful creatures right here in this photo or highly intelligent, highly emotional and capable of more love than you can you can ever imagine. The ones that are in shelters are the same-let's adopt them. @iamnikkireed your recent work with Gilt benefiting the @aspca is truly truky extraordinary. One big, happy family! Ian Somerhalder is loving life these days, which is saying something coming from a TV vampire. The CW star, who moved in with his girlfriend of just two months, Nikki Reed, back in August, took to Instagram on Wednesday, Oct. 8 to praise the Twilight star, 26, and their dogs.
In the sweet family picture, The Vampire Diaries star, 35, is getting a smooch from one of his pets as Reed poses next to another.
“A day with 3 of the most beautiful ladies in the universe… Wow smiling is such a beautiful part of the human experience-I highly recommend it,” the star (with a little something in his teeth) captioned the photo.
Somerhalder went on to praise his pups, calling them “highly intelligent, highly emotional and capable for more love than you can ever imagine,” noting the importance of adopting shelter animals.
Reed, who has spent much of her time devoted to helping animal rights groups, was also a topic of the hunky actor’s appreciation.
“Thank you for giving so much of your life and for being a strong voice for those whom can speak,” he wrote to his girlfriend. “My hat is off to you. You amaze me. Love, Ian.”
The couple were first spotted out together in July, when Us Weekly broke the news they were officially dating. Three weeks later they moved in together in Atlanta, Ga., where Somerhalder is currently filming season 6 of The Vampire Diaries.
