Are congratulations in order? Miley Cyrus has been sporting serious bling on her ring finger after she and former fiancé Liam Hemsworth reunited over New Year's in Australia.
Cyrus, 23, arrived at JFK airport in New York in an eye-catching hot pink hat and colorful bag on Sunday, January 17, but her most shocking accessory was the diamond ring she sported on her left ring finger.
She also flaunted the bauble in a selfie posted to Instagram a day later, on January 18. "I look like a f--king strawberry," she wrote, along with a photo of herself in a green and pink rain outfit. "#looklikemyf--kingmomdressedmethisam #prettysureihadthissamelookat6."
In the snap, her left hand takes center stage, adorned with a red and pink cocktail ring on her pointer finger and the same circular diamond, reminiscent of the 3.5-carat, custom-designed Neil Lane sparkler Hemsworth, 26, gave her in May 2012.
A source confirms to Us Weekly that the ring Cyrus is wearing is in fact the Neil Lane engagement ring Hemsworth gave her in 2012.
In the latest issue of Us Weekly, multiple sources revealed that Cyrus has struggled to move on from The Hunger Games star. "She says she's always loved Liam and always will," one pal says of the "Can't Be Tamed" singer, who ended her 16-month engagement to Hemsworth in 2013. "She never really got over Liam."
And the feeling is mutual. "He's never met anyone quite like her who has that hold on him," an insider tells Us. And now, he's ready to accept her for who she is. "He realizes she was growing up and experimenting, he took a step back and gave her time to do that," the insider adds. "Miley's always had a special place in his heart."
Since spending the holidays together, the pair are giving love another try. "They've been talking for a while, and now they're seeing each other again. They are seeing where it goes before officially getting back together," the insider says.
