Isaac Mizrahi is now a married man.
The fashion designer and Project Runway: All Stars judge, 50, wed longtime boyfriend Arnold Germer in NYC Nov. 30.
Mizrahi broke the news Wednesday on The Wendy Williams Show, flashing his wedding band and then explaining how the not-so-elaborate nuptials went down.
"We've been together for six years, but we met 10 years ago. We didn't think we wanted to get married until they said we could in New York, and then it was like, 'We're getting married!'" the longtime Manhattanite explained of the landmark legalization of same-sex marriage in New York state.
But the fashion world star got overwhelmed when pals started suggesting over-the-top plans to tie the knot.
"We were terrified and decided to just elope at City Hall," he admitted to Wendy Williams.
Although Mizrahi thought the City Hall route meant the wedding would be "just a bunch of paperwork," he "started sobbing" in the chapel when the justice of the peace asked them to recite their vows.
"It was one of those moments [where] I wasn't expecting that kind of emotional, emotional impact. I think when it's right, you know it."
