When promoting her 2008 canine-centric film Marley and Me, Aniston, 42, told The Sun: "Men come and go but there really is no relationship like the one you have with a dog - and then they don't live as long as they should."
She added: "You have to say goodbye way too soon. It's just so sad. It makes me so sad. But their love is unconditional and I love that."
Aniston has another dog, a white German Shepherd mix named Dolly.

31I remember meeting both Jennifer Aniston and Norman when they were staying at a hotel that I worked at in Austin while she was making Office Space. It was Friday when Ms. Aniston and her boyfriend (who will remain nameless) were on the back lawn playing when Norman ran off. Everyone in the hotel including myself looked for him for two days but to no avail. On Monday, the hotel got a call from the local animal shelter saying that someone had tried to turn him in and they have given him the phone number of our hotel. As it turns out, the individual who found him was leaving on a hunting trip with his two Labradors and Norman went along. Quite different than the posh lifestyle that he was used to, but I'm sure he had a great time. There was a reward waiting for him at the hotel and Norman and Ms. Aniston were reunited. After an appropriate amount of time for the reunion, it was off to the doggie spa for some pampering. Ms. Aniston not only rewarded the individual who found the dog, everyone who helped look got a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, a bit of cash and a nice note from her. One hotel employee sold this story to the local newspaper. He was summarily fired... and rightfully so. I met hundreds of celebrities at that hotel. Because of her warm, friendly and unpretentious attitude, she was probably my favorite and am sorry for her loss.
To all of the heartless people who think it shouldn't matter when a pet dies, I feel sorry for you since you have never felt the unconditional love of a pet. I have had several dogs and I currently have a cat, whom I love very much. When he dies, he will leave a giant hole in my heart and I never thought I could love a cat as much as a dog. Boy was I wrong. I have a husband and son who I love more than the cat but like others have said, animals give unconditional love and in Jen's case, Norman has been there for her through thick and thin.

I cried when I heard this story :O( Remember there are pets dying in your local shelter every day - pay tribute to your wonderful pet friends and adopt and new one to love, save a life, it won't replace your special friend but it would mean the difference between life and death for another dog who will show you just as much love!
My heart goes out to Jennifer. Loosing a pet is so so hard. It's like loosing a member of your family.
My heart goes out to Jennifer. My humans have always let me down, but my pets never let me down. Having to let them go hurts so much because their love is so pure & unconditional. Losing a beloved dog or any pet is much worse than losing a lying cheating husband. People really need to quit feeling sorry for her for the Brad Pitt thing. As if she would take him back anyway!
slow news day?

So sorry for her loss. Saw her recently on Chelsea Lately and she brought Norman out. You could just tell how much she loved him. It's so hard to lose a beloved pet.
Hannah: Then go to a thread that addresses THAT sad story. I don't know if you noticed the headline but this is about Jennifer Aniston's dog.
A few weeks ago...see is constantly in the press and photographed, but no sign of sadness or mourning. The only thing you have is some promotional statement for an old movie. Figures.
So sorry.
This is sad. I feel for her.
So sorry, Jennifer. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Shut up Hannah & go on BET with your rant! Norman stood by Jen during the good & bad. RIP sweet puppy! 15 years is a good life & he lived it good too! He has earned his doggy wings!
Oh this is such sad news! I just love my dog, Bruno, he is twelve years old and I hate thinking about the day I have to tell him goodbye. My thoughts and prayers are with Jennifer during this very difficult time. Pets are really just family members with fur coats!! God bless them all.
How is that news? A Rapper was gunned down!!
Sweet Jennifer, I'm so sorry!
