Prior to the party, both Lopez and Diddy ate at Mr Chow, though it remains unclear whether they dined together. The multi-hyphenates, however, left within minutes of each other and met up later at the club to celebrate the birthday of their mutual pal, video director Jessy Terrero.

Another source tells Us, however, that their interaction was not romantic at all. "Jennifer and Diddy are just friends," the insider says. "No getting back together for them."

Combs and Lopez — who dated for nearly 3 years — were arguably the music industry's hottest couple in the late '90s. The sudden resurgence of interest in the pair comes after the hip-hop mogul recently referred to J.Lo's butt as "a work of art."

"Oh my God. I'm so lucky to have that great woman in my history," Diddy told Access Hollywood of J.Lo. "She is one of the greatest I've ever seen."

As for her enviable booty? "I mean, it's great. It's a work of art," the producer remarked, quickly praising the "First Love" singer for her talent. "Her drive, her determination, she will never give up. She's a great friend of mine, always will be my friend, and I mean that thing is just incredible, man."

Lopez, meanwhile, laughed off his comments. "Puffy — he'll always be Puffy to me. We spent three years of our lives together, almost every single day," she reflected. "And as much as he roots for me, and as proud as he is of me and of the time we had together, I am just as proud to see what he's done."
