Jessica Simpson: "I Don't Accept" John Mayer's Apology

Jessica Simpson is forgetting, but not forgiving, her ex John Mayer.
During her appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show airing Wednesday, Simpson, 29, says that she tried to read the controversial Playboy interview in which he called her "sexual napalm" and compared her to crack cocaine.
"I tried to read the article, and I was so disappointed in him," she tells Oprah Winfrey. "It made me so sad, and it was really discouraging because that's not the John that I knew...I hope he gets his life together." She admitted she was "a little angry" about his rant. "I don't want people to know how I am in bed!"

The singer confirms reports that he reached out to her in the aftermath. "He did apologize. I don't accept it. It's just one of those things that...I don't resent him. I'm just going to let that go. That part of my life is over."
The star of VH1's new reality show The Price of Beauty (debuting March 13) also opens up about the ongoing scrutiny regarding her weight.

"It would bother any woman, I would think," she says of the jibes. "I had to get to a place where I had to guard myself."
She also reveals that the infamous "Mom jeans" in the photos of her in early 2009 were a size four. "I fluctuate from 4 to 6," she explains.

And that's just fine with her. "I'm not going to ever be size 0, and I don't want to weigh 90 pounds...It's a really hard thing for me to talk about because I celebrate women of all sizes. I think that we're all beautiful."

127I agree that people need to leave Jessica alone about her weight. She is no "fat"! However, I do not agree with her going on tv stating that she is proud of her size and them claiming to be a size 4! Now that is a joke! I guarantee you those mom jeans were atleast a size 10. There is no way possible they were a 4! Really, Jessica is about an 8 on average and when she is thicker she is at least a 10. When I weighed 120 at 5'6 i was a size 8 and I have similar proportions to my body that she has. A size 4 is just not possible. I consider myself a fan of Jessica so this is not just to be critical.. but really.. she shouldn't have said anything at all if she wasn't willing to state the truth!!

Jessica looks almost as big as Oprah in this picture. If Jessica is a size 4, then Oprah must be a size 6. If this is what 4's and 6's look like, I want to be a size 0.

1) Rip out all size 12 tags from Jessica's clothes and replace with size 4 tags. 2) Call the tabloids...Jessica went somewhere and men were there!! One even spoke to her. He said "excuse me" when he couldn't squeeze past her when she was parked at the buffet. Clearly, he wants to marry her. 3) Launder Jessica's underwear. As always, they are covered in shart stains.

Plus if you look at the camera angle it was taken from the bottom and looking up which would of course make someone look larger than normal. People need to use their brains!!
I believe that she is probably a 6 or 8, but not a 4. The idea that the camera adds 10 pounds is very accurate. If you ever see a celebrity in person, it is scary how skinny they are! The women who look 2 or 4 in pics or on TV are a size 0 or below! It also depends where you carry your weight. If you have narrow hips and a big belly, you may be the same size as someone who is wide and flat in the waist. I have seen Jessica Simpson in person before (not at a concert, but in passing) and she is thin, but not anorexic looking like her sister! Leave the poor girl alone. I'm glad that she didn't accept John's apology...he's an ass!

Oprah should not have asked her what size she was in the first place. Studies have found that designers put small sizes on larger sizes to make women feel better, so maybe she was telling the truth. Anyway, why does it matter?

How can she claim to "love her curves" in one breath and, in the very next breath, lie through her teeth about being a size 4/6?! She complains that the fashion industry and the media perpetuate an unhealthy ideal for women with regards to weight and size. However, blatantly lying to America about your own weight, as a celebrity, is every bit as irresponsible. Some young girls, or even some women, may look at her and think, "If that's a size 4/6, then I want to be a 0/2 (or smaller!)". She needs to use that newfound "clarity" she gained from filming this new waste-of-time show and learn to think before she speaks.

At the time of the mom jeans picture, she issued this statement, "â??Going from a size 2 to a size 8, thatâ??s not fat. If I werenâ??t Jessica Simpson, no one would care.â?? She looked bigger than a 6 or an 8 a year ago and she looks bigger than a 6 or an 8 in that picture.
I'm so sick of men thinking that we have to be a size or 2. I have been married for 15 years and three years ago I found out I had cardiomyapathy and have gained thirty pounds. My husband informed me last week that he did not love me and wanted a divorce. I caught him on web-sight trying to meet girls.... On there he put that he wanted a slender built girl....Crushed me - he broke my heart............
I'm a size 6 and I'm 5'3 and 120lbs. She was not a size 6! lol I'm all for feeling good about yourself about what size you are but there is no way she was a size 6 when that picture was taken!

I saw the interview but had a hard time believing that she was a size 4 at the time of the "mom jeans" photo. I'm guessing she is more like an 8.
