Jon Stewart to Hillary Clinton on The Daily Show: No One Cares About Your Book, Just Presidential Race Rumors

After years of speculation and rumors, Hillary Rodham Clinton is remaining a woman of mystery.

The rumored presidential candidate, 66, stopped by The Daily Show on Tuesday, July 15, for a sit-down with Jon Stewart, but remained tight-lipped on her plans for the future.

Clinton came on the show to promote her new memoir Hard Choices, but Stewart, 51, had no desire to talk about the book. After praising her writing, the talk show host got real and said simply, “I think I speak for everybody when I say, no one cares, they just want to know if you’re running for president.”

Stewart originally speculated that Clinton would announce her candidacy of President of the United States on his show, but he was not so lucky.

“You know, Jon, I was going to make an announcement, but you kinda spoiled it for me,” Clinton said. “The big spoiler! So you know, I’m just going to have to reconsider.”

While she wouldn’t confirm or deny her supposed plans to run for office, Clinton did joke her way around it. Taking a mock aptitude test, the former Secretary of State expressed her preference for a home office without corners—potentially one of the oval variety.
