Similar names, similarly excellent taste in men! Julianne Moore and Julianna Margulies often bring their hot — it's not even fair! — husbands to red carpet events every year. But on Tuesday, April 21, the award-winning actresses and their swoon-worthy plus ones finally brushed shoulders for an amazing and downright gorgeous group photo.
Moore and her director beau Bart Freundlich crossed paths with Margulies and her attorney hubby Keith Lieberthal at the Time 100 Gala, held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC. The Still Alice star, 50, wore a shimmering black dress and held onto a metallic clutch. The Good Wife actress, 48, coordinated in a tuxedo-style Michael Kors dress, and paired it with a matching purse.
But let's not forget (how could we?!) the eye candy. Both Freundlich, 45, and Lieberthal, 41, looked dapper in dark suits and skinny ties. Freundlich also showed off some scruff while Margulies' clean-shaven adonis flashed his dreamy baby blue eyes.
Both ladies — who live in NYC full-time with their families — have received an overwhelming amount of support from their hubbies throughout their careers. In February, Moore gushed to reporters at the 87th Annual Academy Awards following her Oscar win that Freundlich was the first to see her performance in Still Alice. "My husband has been amazing. He's also the person who walked me up the steps," she said.
"The first time I saw the cut, he came with me. I've told the story about how I heard him crying, and I was like, 'What's going on?' We walked out, and he said, 'You're going to win an Oscar,'" she continued of Freundlich, with whom she shares son Caleb, 17, and daughter Liv, 12. "I was like, 'Come on!' I swear to God, that's what he said to me. I couldn't believe he said that. That's how much he supported me from the very, very beginning."
Margulies' love – the couple are parents to 6-year-old son Kieran – is just as gracious from the sidelines. The couple's six-year age difference also isn't an issue. "There is a serious attraction between them," an insider previously told Us Weekly. "And beyond that, there are a lot of mutual interests."
Indeed, like the way they communicate. The ER alum revealed Tuesday night that she prefers to call Lieberthal throughout the day, but the pair do send "romantic emails" to each other. "People wouldn’t believe it," she told Time. Lieberthal chimed in: "They might blush."
