Chatting with Yahoo! Style’s Joe Zee on Thursday, October 6, the Girl on the Train star, 45, opened up about his unwavering sartorial choices.

“I wear boots, I wear jeans, and usually just sort of a beat-up T-shirt, and a leather jacket,” he said, adding that Aniston, 47, is a tad tired of his slick black outerwear. “If I bring more leather jackets home, my wife will kill me.”

In an October 2016 interview with Elle, Theroux — who tied the knot with the Friends alum in August 2015 — delved deeper into his devotion for sporting the same style over and over.

“When I was 13, I kind of got into the punk scene. I realized it was easier to wear a pair of combat boots and jeans and a beat-up T-shirt. I think of it as a uniform,” he explained to the fashion mag. “Ya know, if you’re a Maytag man, you put on your bow tie. I still have T-shirts from when I was that age.”

Though Aniston and Theroux might butt heads over his growing leather jacket collection, the Leftovers actor told Elle that the couple’s first year of marriage has been nothing but peaceful.

“I think it taught me to settle a little bit,” he said. “It does have a calming effect.”

Theroux also noted that his grandparents were married for more than 50 years, which has inspired him to be the best husband he can be. “My grandfather used to write one sentence every day in his journal: ‘I love Anne more than ever today,’” he shared with the publication. “I think that was his meditation — keeping him in his marriage, and also his appreciation for it. It was very touching.”
