Sweet dreams! Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Kris Jenner attended Balmain's Met Gala afterparty following the 2016 Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in NYC, on Monday, May 2, and Us Weekly has an exclusive photo of the "Famous" rapper resting his head on his wife's derriere.
In the pic, West and Kardashian are still wearing their Balmain attire from the formal soiree. Kardashian, 35, stands facing the wall and stares over her shoulder while her husband, 38, cozies up to her butt and nestles his cheek against, well, her cheek.
The two were deemed Vogue's "Best Dressed Couple" on Monday night, and an ecstatic West took to his Twitter to deliver his acceptance speech. "I’m really excited to get our first best dressed at the met … This Gala is like the Grammys of style!" the father of two wrote. "Thank you Olivier [Rousteing] for making 4 dresses for Kim to choose from which we chopped 2 in half … And thank you for turning my personal jean jacket into a couture piece."
Another inside snapshot from the Balmain party shows a happy West seated beside his mother-in-law, Jenner, and Rousteing, 30, who pouts for the camera with his sculpted cheeks.
Rousteing, the creative director of Balmain, opened up to Vanity Fair on Tuesday, and revealed why West wore jeans to the black-tie occasion. "Kanye decided to put Kanye in denim,” Rousteing shared, recalling how he told the rapper: "'I think it’s great, and I want to go really all the way — we need to make this denim look couture.'"
"That’s what I love about Kanye: When he knows and he wants something, I love that he believes in it," the designer continued. "What is amazing about the Met is it’s just a big traditional moment of America. But when you bring Kanye on the red carpet, wearing denim, and you still bring couture to the next level — I mean, it makes the Met way younger, and I love that."
Rousteing also had an eventful night of partying as he's shown in a separate snap dancing between Beyoncé and Dutch model Doutzen Kroes.
Along with Kimye and Kris, Rousteing also dressed Kylie Jenner and a bevy of high-profile models for the 2016 Met Gala. They included Cindy Crawford, Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn, Kroes and Alessandra Ambrosio. Joining the gorgeous ladies was the swoon-inducing Sean Opry, the model memorably featured in Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" music video.
"I loved my girls and my boys more than anyone [at the Met Gala]," Rousteing told Teen Vogue in a separate interview. "I was expecting more people to follow the theme. I did all the way. I loved the fact that they all looked so different at my table. I made sure that they all felt comfortable with what they wore. They all wore Balmain, but in their own way."
Other stars to attend his afterparty included Dev Winter, Beyoncé and Solange Knowles.
